Adoptions

Adopting a rescued animal is an amazing and beautiful journey. Often times dogs come to us after enduring cruelties that are beyond words. Our rescued dogs have been through a lot and we work hard to ensure they are able to trust people again. The difference between a rescue dog and a dog you buy from a breeder is substantial. Rescued animals know where they came from and never forget it and because of this they show undying love and gratefulness every day. Each of them has their own unique story to share and is special in their own way. Providing them with a “Happily Ever After” is our goal!

We may not be in the immediate Dallas Metro area but a drive to Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue is worth your time. Our adoption fees are usually less than big city rescues and we generally have about 140+ dogs and pups to choose from, all in the same location. We always have great bargains on “Pre-Owned" pets.

TBC Simple Adoption Process

  1. Complete our Pre-Adoption application so that we can learn about you and know that the dogs will be loved and be kept safe.

  2. Once submitted, we will contact you to arrange for a good time to meet you.

  3. Make a MATCH and send you home with your new BFF!

TBC Foster2Adopt

The Foster2Adopt Program will help you find a carefully matched dog or pup to fit your lifestyle. You agree to foster for about a month to learn more about the dog and give him or her the opportunity to be in a loving home, bond with your family and experience one on one love and attention. We’ll equip you with all the needs and provide support along the way. If it’s a win-win, we will complete the adoption by phone or email. If not, you have provided the dog with a break from the rescue environment and become more adoptable – we still call that a win.

Why Adopt Not Shop?

Each year, millions of  adoptable dogs are euthanized in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet.

The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. When you adopt, you save a loving animal by making them part of your family and open up shelter space for another animal who might desperately need it.
