Spay & Neuter your Pets

The problem of dog overpopulation is huge and requires a solution on an extra large scale. Like every journey that begins with a single step, this particular journey must begin with every dog owner in every town and every city in the country.

By spaying or neutering your pet, you’ll help control the pet homelessness crisis, which results in millions of healthy dogs and cats being euthanized in the United States each year simply because there aren’t enough homes to go around. In just three years, one unaltered female and one unaltered male can produce 512 dogs!!

Approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.9 million are dogs and 3.4 million are cats. Each year, approximately 2.7 million animals are euthanized (1.2 million dogs and 1.4 million cats).

There are also medical and behavioral benefits to spaying and neutering your animals. Here are some of examples:

  • Your female pet will live a longer, healthier life.

  • Neutering your male companion prevents testicular cancer and some prostate problems.

  • Your spayed female pet won't go into heat.

  • Your male dog will be less likely to roam away from home.

  • Your neutered male may be better behaved.
